Role of Science in the life of a Human - BA English Essay

Science is a very vast subject, and one could write a million words on it but I would like to maintain brevity in this essay. What is science? There are innumerable people who have endeavored to answer this question, but have failed repeatedly. In simple words science is the organization of simple information which may be used for a greater purpose. People think that science and technology are common terms whereas these are two different terms which cannot be used interchangeably. Science has been the major driver in the economic and social growth of a human being.

Science has 3 major divisions which may be called Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Science has benefited the human race and it has evolved in many ways to provide the needed solution at the times of instant need. These 3 divisions have contributed in the success of the human kind.

There are many advantages of science which are visible in this world. Scientists have been able find remedies for the diseases by the help of Biology and Chemistry. Millions of people have been granted a healthy life because of Allah and Science. In the medieval times people used to die of cancer, but now due to the incessant efforts of the scientists the proper cure has been developed. About 40 years ago cure for a disease was just of privilege, but with the influx of these multi-national companies the drugs are being provided at affordable rates.

Mankind has also been able to safeguard itself of natural disasters life floods and earthquake just by building the devices which would help identify it. We as human beings have also been able to organize science exploration projects which have assisted us in knowing the unrevealed truths of the universe and have also helped us protect us from future dangers.

Science has provided some drawbacks. Knowledge is a very precious gift which has been granted by Allah, but it can be a menace if used in the wrong way. Some people have created disastrous nuclear bombs which have annihilated the people and disturbed the world peace. The world witnessed the disaster of science in the 1940s and it is my strong wish that the world may see it again.

I vehemently support the development of science and I accede to the notion that the benefits of science outweigh the drawbacks. The government should world assiduously and meticulously on spreading the knowledge and science and make sure it is use in the opposite way.
