The U.S. Embassy in Kabul is seeking an individual for the position of Class B Cashier with Financial
Management Office (FMO).
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Serves as the Principal Class 'B' Cashier with an authorized advance of up to $200,000 at a post with a
full range of cashier and cash management duties, including vendor payment processing, receipt of
collections, provision of accommodation exchange services and the reconciliation of financial
transactions. The position also serves as the representative of the U.S. Disbursing Officer in Kabul.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and
comprehensive information supporting each item.
Education: Completion of High School with two years of college studies in accounting and financing is
required.
Experience: Three years performing progressively responsible work in technical/clerical accounting or
bookkeeping with at least one year performing cashiering work at the next lower grade in a U.S.
agency, non-governmental organization or the equivalent. Some payroll experience is required.
Language: Level 4 English and Dari are required.

General Services Office (GSO).
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Serves as primary point of contact for all customer inquiries regarding GSO, in general, and customer service
in particular. Performing as many clerical and administrative duties as possible under the supervision of the
GSO. Coordinating equipment service and repair for agencies subscribed to ICASS services.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Completion of high school is required.
Experience: Two years of secretarial or administrative support experience with UN, NGO or Western
Embassy is required.
Language: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading English and Dari language is required. Incumbent must
possess excellent translation skills from English into Dari and vice versa
